1. The individual will provide an appropriate preposition following a present progressive verb (-ing verb form) when prompted to do so within a structured learning activity (i.e. putting on, taking off, looking out...).
2. The individual will use prepositions following an "-ing" verb form for a variety of reasons (i.e. to give directions, to answer questions and to make comments) within a structured learning activity

2. Have a puppet or other toy act out phrases. Ask the student "What is he doing?" Encourage answers such as "going in" and "turning over".
3. You say a phrase or model it on the device, and then ask the person to act it out.
B. Reading

2. If he/she finds this activity to be to easy then remove the word list from the top of the page.
3. If he/she finds this activity to hard practice choral reading or reading the story together.
4. If he/she gets an answer wrong, model the response they gave and show how it is incorrect. Allow the child to try again.
C. Writing
Use this book as a template for the person to write his or her own story using a favorite animal, photos of classmates or themselves.
D. Generalization
1. Have the individual give directions during physical games such as "follow the leader" and while using an obstacle course.
2. Use favorite toy activities such as Fisher Price animals and a barn to elicit phrases such as cow walking in the barn, chicken flying over cow...
3. Model using prepositions following a present progressive verb form during "teachable moments". For example while getting ready to go outside you may model "putting on my coat" "putting on my hat".
